What You Will Be Doing
Conducting adaptive reading workshops focused on phonics, comprehension, and fluency development
Creating personalized motivational programming leveraging gamified literacy benchmarks
Reviewing student performance metrics to optimize teaching strategies and generate practical insights
Partnering with engineering teams to assess and improve AI-powered literacy platforms using real classroom feedback
Building scalable, AI-integrated materials that help early elementary learners reach grade-level reading proficiency
Basic Requirements
Reading Specialist key responsibilities
Bachelor's degree with advanced certification in reading instruction (Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, or equivalent)
2+ years delivering small-group reading interventions to early elementary students
Skilled at assessing reading levels, grouping students, and designing differentiated instruction without pre-written curricula
Proficient with AI/adaptive learning tools and responsive to student behavior patterns
Legal authorization to work in the Puerto Rico without sponsorship
Willingness to work on-site in Dorado, Puerto Rico

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
