Requirements Engineer – ALTEN Belgium
The Position
As part of our ongoing growth, we are looking for a Requirements Engineer to join our teams and work on client projects located in Brussels.
* Collaborate with stakeholders (POs, UX/UI, developers...) to gather and clarify requirements
* Document high-quality system/software requirements for in-vehicle applications
* Propose solutions to potential design concerns and build stakeholder consensus
* Review and iterate on requirements through team feedback
* Lead sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups
* Manage the product backlog and track sprint progress
* Communicate status, risks, and milestones to stakeholders and management
* Support the team in overcoming blockers and workload peaks
* Assist in manual and automated software testing when needed
* Contribute to the improvement of tools and processes supporting development
Your Profile
* 4–5 years of relevant experience in software or systems engineering
* Strong background in Embedded Systems or similar technical domains
* Skilled in translating stakeholder input into clear, structured requirements
* Familiar with system architecture
* Experience with tools like Codebeamer, Jama, or similar
* Proven Scrum Master experience: sprint planning, backlog management, stakeholder alignment
* Comfortable using Jira or equivalent tools
* Experience with manual and automated testing
* Strong communicator and team player
* Proactive, adaptable, and solution-oriented
* Fluent in English
