The operations team collaborates closely with warehouse staff, trucking partners and internal departments to ensure that every shipment is processed accurately and efficiently. Your new role
As an Operations Specialist, you are responsible for managing the operational flow of air‑freight shipments from start to finish. You handle all shipment documentation, coordinate with the warehouse and road transport, and ensure that any issues are resolved quickly. You maintain a clear overview of ongoing shipments, follow up on any irregularities, and ensure that all communications reach the right partners in time.
In practice, your responsibilities include:
1. Managing export documentation and ensuring that all files are complete and accurate.
2. Preparing and overseeing customs‑related documentation for outgoing cargo.
3. Tracking and coordinating inbound and outbound trucking activities.
4. Keeping close contact with the warehouse to ensure smooth operational handling.
5. Addressing disruptions or irregularities and determining the root cause internally or externally.
6. Sending timely flight alerts to airlines, handlers and destination stations.
7. Following up on document discrepancies and ensuring corrections where required.
8. Supporting build‑up efficiency and ensuring that instructions are clear to operational partners.
9. Entering and maintaining data in various air‑freight platforms and internal systems.
Your profile
10. A first experience in air freight, cargo handling, or a logistics‑related internship or study background.
11. Strong interest in operational tasks and direct coordination with multiple stakeholders.
12. Able to process documentation with accuracy and take ownership of administrative flows.
13. Structured, hands‑on and able to keep oversight in a dynamic operational environment.
14. Strong communicator and team‑oriented mindset.
15. Fluent in English; knowledge of French and/or Dutch is an advantage.
16. Willing to work late‑shift hours and flexible when operational needs require it.
17. Motivated to build a long‑term career in air‑freight operations.
