A global Pharma company is seeking an experienced Field Service Manager to oversee and elevate field service operations across Belgium. This key leadership role is responsible for driving service excellence, ensuring customer satisfaction, and aligning field activities with broader business objectives. You will lead a team of skilled field technicians and collaborate cross-functionally to continuously improve service quality, efficiency, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, mentor, and develop the field service team to foster high performance, accountability, and a strong customer focus.
* Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing professional development for all field technicians.
* Ensure efficient execution of installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs while improving response times, workflow efficiency, and overall service quality.
* Resolve complex customer issues promptly and maintain strong customer relationships.
* Manage budgets, allocate resources effectively, and optimise field processes to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
* Collaborate closely with sales, product management, and support teams to ensure seamless delivery of service contracts.
* Develop and implement field service strategies that support business growth and strengthen operational performance.
* Analyse operational data, track key performance metrics, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
* Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to maintain competitive service offerings.
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, safety standards, and internal policies.
* Maintain robust quality control across service operations and champion a strong safety-first culture.
Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's preferred).
* 5+ years' experience in field service management with proven leadership of technical teams.
* Strong background in technical service delivery, ideally within healthcare, life sciences, or similar sectors.
* Demonstrated success managing complex service operations and customer-facing challenges.
* Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
* Experience with budgeting, operational planning, and service management tools.
* Willingness to travel as required across Belgium.
