Our client is a leading international group active in a highly regulated aerospace industrial environment. With several operational sites across Europe, the company is known for its strong focus on safety, compliance, and technical excellence.
To reinforce their management team, they are currently looking for a Head of Compliance and Safety.
Head of Compliance and Safety - Aerospace industry
Reporting directly to the General Manager and in liaison with relevant authorities, the Head of Compliance & Safety will oversee all compliance and safety matters across the company's maintenance operations. This leadership role ensures adherence to quality standards, continuous improvement, and alignment with evolving regulatory frameworks.
Key responsibilities include:
* Acting as the internal expert and point of contact for regulatory compliance and safety.
* Ensuring the organisation's full compliance with applicable regulations and safety directives.
* Leading internal and external audits, identifying gaps, and proposing corrective actions.
* Coordinating investigation processes and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
* Supporting the development and enforcement of Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) procedures.
* Supporting the opening of new sites or operational lines with compliance guidance.
* Ensuring the validity of all site-level certifications and operational approvals.
* Acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on compliance, safety, and quality culture.
Profiel
* A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or equivalent technical experience.
* Alternatively, 15+ years of experience as a certified aircraft technician with exposure to regulatory and quality functions
* Expert-level knowledge of European maintenance regulations, Safety Management Systems, and quality assurance processes.
* Demonstrated experience in audit management, OHS planning, and compliance leadership.
* Prior experience in a similar compliance or safety role in an industrial or maintenance-heavy environment
* Fluent English; knowledge of French and/or Dutch is a distinct advantage.
* Willingness to travel
