List of Tasks:
* Content Management and Editorial Support:
o Create and edit content for websites, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with the Commission's web creation practices.
o Provide web writing and editorial support, including rewriting, proofreading, and optimizing content for readability, accessibility (WCAG), and internal SEO.
o Perform regular content updates and maintenance to ensure the accuracy, relevance, and freshness of published information.
* Content Structuring and User Experience:
o Structure and organise content using features such as web parts, components, sections, metadata, and navigation to enhance user experience and findability.
o Conduct quality assurance checks, including broken links, formatting consistency, and compliance with editorial and web accessibility guidelines.
o Contribute to the continuous improvement of the information architecture and the user journey across several sites.
* Communication and Campaign Support:
o Coordinate with content owners and stakeholders to gather, validate, and publish content in a timely and effective manner.
o Monitor and analyse user feedback and site analytics to improve content effectiveness and user engagement.
* Technical Support and Information Architecture:
o Create and manage collaborative sites, and content management systems (CMS).
o Guide and support users in the effective use of platforms, and M365 services.
o Provide technical and user documentation.
o Perform regular reviews of information architecture across internal and external communication channels (websites, intranet communities, etc.).
* Project and Strategic Involvement:
o Co-lead agile projects, contributing to project planning, coordination, and support tasks such as stakeholder briefings and management presentations.
o Actively participate in meetings, staying up to date with strategy developments and platform tool usage.
o Join technical working groups, progress meetings, and engage directly with users to align on needs and solutions.
Knowledge and Skills:
* SharePoint Online & Microsoft 365 Proficiency
* Proficiency in other web content management systems and web design tools (e.g. Adobe or Figma)
* Good knowledge of agile project management methodology fundamentals, web communication, information architecture & UX Design
* Web Content Creation & Editorial Skills
* Ability to understand requirements, propose solutions, and deliver them efficiently and fast
* Ability to give business and technical presentations
* Ability to apply high-quality standards
* Ability to cope with fast-changing technologies
* Very good communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences
* Analysis and problem-solving skills

Specific Expertise:
* Knowledge of M365 (SharePoint Online Communication Sites, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Apps, Teams, and OneDrive)
* Web Content Strategy & Editorial Standards, including accessibility (WCAG)
* Usage of various web content management tools, for example Drupal
* Information Architecture & UX: Knowledge of structuring content using SharePoint features, tagging and taxonomy, user navigation flows, and optimizing for findability and engagement
* Web design capabilities and usage of corresponding tools (Adobe, Figma, etc...)
