Aveva System Specialist
we are currently looking for an Aveva System Specialist. The role is on-site and focused on maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing control system operations—particularly in environments integrated with Siemens PLC and PCS 7 platforms.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Automation Engineer with specialized expertise in Aveva System Platform (formerly Wonderware) and Intouch HMI applications to strengthen the client's industrial automation and monitoring capabilities.
Responsibilities
* Maintain Aveva System Platform ecosystems, including deployment, object templates, Galaxy configuration, and system maintenance.
* Support and continuously improve object-oriented architectures within System Platform Galaxies.
* Develop and troubleshoot Intouch HMI applications for real-time operations.
* Provide L2/L3 support for alarms, historian data, redundancy, and real-time data integrity.
* Apply ITIL/ITSM best practices in incident, problem, and change management.
* Ensure GMP-compliant system configurations for the pharmaceutical sector.
* Manage connectivity between Application Servers, Intouch View Nodes, field I/O, and supervisory systems.
* Maintain proper documentation in line with audit and quality standards
Skills/Experience
* Extensive hands-on experience with Aveva System Platform and object-oriented development.
* Strong troubleshooting skills with Intouch HMI in both standalone and distributed setups.
* Incident management expertise including RCA in control system environments.
* Fluent in Dutch or French (preferred).
* Familiar with ITIL/ITSM frameworks; pharmaceutical industry experience is required.
* Solid understanding of Siemens PLCs and PCS 7 (programming not mandatory).
* Willingness to work on-site in a shift-based support model.
* Certifications such as Aveva System Platform Developer, Siemens/PCS 7 courses are a plus.
* Degree in Electrical, Automation, or Control Systems Engineering (or equivalent experience).
