About CIOC Energy At CIOC Energy, we accelerate the energy transition by helping businesses manage their energy smarter. With our Energy Management System (EMS), we optimize batteries, installations, and consumption profiles so that customers can cut costs, reduce their carbon footprint, and create flexibility on the energy grid. This opens the door for more renewable energy.
We are an international team, active across several European countries. You will be working in a diverse environment where collaboration and knowledge sharing are key.

About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Go-To-Market & Business Development Manager to drive growth across Belgium and broader European markets. This is not a desk job — you will be on the field, building relationships, opening doors, and shaping how CIOC Energy positions itself in the market.
You combine deep knowledge of the renewable energy landscape with a hunter mentality and a strategic mindset. You don't just sell — you help define how we go to market, with whom, and why.

Key Responsibilities
Define and execute the go-to-market strategy for CIOC Energy's EMS & VPP solutions.
Identify and develop new business opportunities with C&I customers, energy suppliers, utilities, DSOs/TSOs, aggregators, and EPC partners.
Build and maintain a strong pipeline through direct outreach, partnerships, and industry networking.
Translate market insights into actionable product and commercial recommendations.
Work closely with the Product and Customer Success teams to align market needs with our roadmap.
Represent CIOC Energy at industry events, trade fairs, and customer meetings across Europe.
Define pricing strategies, partnership models, and market entry approaches for new segments or geographies.
Track competitive landscape and provide strategic input to leadership.

Your Profile
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in the renewable energy sector (PV, BESS, EMS, VPP, or similar).
Background at a utility, energy supplier, energy consultancy, or EMS/VPP provider is a strong advantage.
Proven track record in business development, sales, or go-to-market roles — not just account management.
You understand how energy markets work and can have technical conversations with engineers and commercial conversations with C-level executives.
Field-oriented: you're comfortable spending the majority of your time with customers and partners.
Strong network in the Belgian and/or European energy industry.
Entrepreneurial, proactive, and results-driven — a true go-getter.
Fluent in English and Dutch (required); French is a strong plus.
Based in or willing to work from Brussels on a regular basis.
