At EBRO, a fast-growing automotive OEM in the Spanish market, purchasing performance and supplier management are critical to ensuring operational excellence, competitiveness, and sustainable growth.
The Line Parts Buyer will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, supporting strategic sourcing activities, and contributing to the development of scalable and efficient purchasing processes within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This role requires strong negotiation skills, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supplier & Purchasing Management
* Manage supplier relationships to ensure supply chain continuity and support new project launches.
* Support sourcing and purchasing activities aligned with EBRO’s strategic objectives.
* Collaborate closely with internal departments to ensure operational and strategic alignment.
* Participate in supplier negotiations and cost optimization initiatives.
2. Project & Process Management
* Manage purchasing-related activities linked to EBRO projects.
* Support the creation and development of the Purchasing department.
* Design and implement efficient and scalable purchasing procedures.
* Maintain systems and databases for accurate information and reporting management.
3. KPI Monitoring & Reporting
* Monitor and report departmental KPIs to ensure achievement of EBRO targets.
* Analyze purchasing performance and identify improvement opportunities.
* Support data-driven decision-making processes within the department.
4. Risk Management & Operational Support
* Identify, anticipate, and mitigate supply chain risks through proactive action plans.
* Follow up on corrective actions and ensure execution across stakeholders.
* Contribute to operational continuity in a fast-changing startup environment.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Finance, Marketing, and Business teams.
* Develop a transversal understanding of business needs and operational priorities.
* Support alignment between purchasing activities and overall company objectives.
Required Qualifications
Education
* Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Professional level of English.
Preferred Qualifications
* MBA or additional business specialization.
* Additional languages are a plus, especially Chinese.
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
Experience
* Minimum 5 years of professional experience in purchasing or related functions.
* Experience in the automotive sector is highly valued.
* Previous experience in dynamic and fast-paced environments (startup/VUCA environments) is a strong plus.
* Experience with SAP and automotive material management is desirable.
