Activities such as remediating contaminated sites, processing excavated soils, solving environmental issues in ports, canals, and waterways, and sustainably redeveloping brownfields create win‑win situations for both the environment and the client. /p h3Your Role /h3 pAs a Project Engineer, you will be part of our prestigious projects to build new data centres in Farciennes, where you will work as part of a dedicated project team. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liDeveloping and budgeting remediation concepts during the prospecting and tendering phases under the guidance of the Business Unit Manager. /li liPresenting remediation concepts and budgets to the Business Unit Manager and the Commercial Area Manager. /li liProviding scientific and technical support to the Commercial Area Manager in the development of well‑founded project proposals. /li liGuiding Junior Project Managers in the practical preparation of soil remediation projects and ensuring clear agreements with executing parties. /li liMonitoring the technical and financial aspects of soil remediation projects and responding quickly and efficiently to potential issues. /li liSupporting the tender department scientifically and technically in drafting well‑supported proposals, including providing technical specifications and documentation. /li liCommunicating with suppliers, clients, partners, and subcontractors during the tendering and execution phases to ensure accurate budgets and orders. /li liSupervising operational work on‑site for international projects. /li liCoordinating planning and managing local workers during on‑site execution, with a focus on time and budget management. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liA Master’s degree in bioengineering or a similar field. /li liAt least 5 years of relevant experience in the sector. /li liFluency in Dutch and English, both spoken and written. /li liKnowledge of environmental legislation, remediation techniques, landfill installation techniques, processing techniques, and legislation regarding construction contracts is a plus. /li /ul h3Working at Jan De Nul /h3 pWorking at Jan De Nul means joining the search for solutions to some of today’s biggest challenges: from the energy transition to rising sea levels and smart mobility.
