Your role:
As Transformation & Project Portfolio Manager, you will play a central role in achieving our strategic objectives. You will combine leadership and operational decisiveness in a key position, with two main tasks:
Strategic program management and portfolio management
* You will implement and manage the project portfolio, ensuring prioritisation, synergy and maximum impact.
* You will lead the strategic transformation programme, including a new ERP system and AI applications.
* You will monitor the alignment of all projects with the organisational objectives.
* You will facilitate collaboration between project managers, departments and stakeholders
Coaching the Project Management Group
* You will develop and professionalise our project management team to a higher level.
* You will implement best practices and specifically improve our methodologies and processes, with a focus on Lean Management and efficiency.
* You will encourage knowledge sharing, mentoring and coaching within the group.
* You implement best practices and improve methodologies and processes.
* You ensure the development of a strong project delivery culture.
Your responsibilities:
Strategic Program and Portfolio Management
* Leading the organisation's strategic transformation programme.
* Working with senior management to translate strategic objectives into concrete programmes and projects.
* Coordinating the implementation of programmes and projects within the transformation portfolio.
* Drawing up, managing and monitoring the project portfolio in close collaboration with the management team.
* Monitoring the alignment between projects and the organisation's strategic priorities.
* Reporting on the progress, risks, dependencies and impact of transformation projects to the management team.
Coaching the Project Management Group
* Coaching project managers within the organisation.
* Facilitating knowledge sharing and collaboration between project teams.
* Developing a uniform and mature project management approach.
* Introducing and monitoring best practices, methodologies and standards (e.g. Agile, Prince2, PMBOK).
* Setting up a learning and growth programme for project managers (training plans, mentoring, certifications).
Process improvement and operational excellence
* Identifying and implementing improvements in project processes, governance and tools, with a view to Lean Management.
* Optimising project flows, decision-making and resource planning in relation to projects.
* Developing templates, KPI reports and dashboards to support decision-making.
* Ensuring quality and consistency in project deliveries.
Digital Transformation and Innovation
* Leading the implementation of a new ERP system.
* Facilitating digital transformation initiatives.
* Introducing innovation in projects and transformations (e.g. new technologies, hybrid working).
* Promoting cross-functional collaboration and willingness to change within the organisation.
Stakeholdermanagement & Communication
* Acting as a strategic sparring partner for the management team.
* Leading communication about transformation projects to employees and external partners.
* Ensuring transparency and engagement through regular updates, presentations, and feedback sessions.
What do we expect from the ideal candidate?
Training & Certification
* Master's degree in a relevant field: Business Administration, Commercial Engineering, Industrial Sciences, Engineering Sciences, Organisational Sciences or equivalent through experience.
* Certification(s) in project management are a plus: Prince2, PMP, Agile/Scrum, SAFe or MSP.
* Additional training in change management, lean management or digital transformation is an asset.
Professional Experience
* At least 8 years of relevant experience in project management, including at least 3 years in a managerial or coordinating role.
* Demonstrable experience in setting up and managing project portfolios within a complex organisational context.
* Experience with transformation or change processes at a strategic level.
* Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and matrix organisations.
* Familiarity with digital tools for project and portfolio management.
Knowledge & Skills
* Thorough knowledge of project management methodologies.
* Strong analytical skills to translate complexity into overview and action.
* Insight into change management and the human side of transformation.
* Skilled in setting up governance structures, KPIs and reporting flows.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written – in Dutch and French.
