As Category Manager & Shopper Insights for Zone Europe, you will turn category strategies and shopper insights into impactful execution across key markets (Belgium, UK, Netherlands, France, Germany, Italy). Acting as the bridge between central strategy and local activation, you will support growth by identifying opportunities, shaping the beverage and beer strategy, and providing recommendations on assortment, shelf placement, space, and display best practices — all through clear, scalable methodologies across markets.
Responsibilities
• Coordinate with local Category Management and Shopper Insights teams to ensure consistent execution of the overarching European strategy, adapting to market-specific business cycles.
• Facilitate communication and share best practices, shopper insights, and commercial learnings across markets to elevate category performance.
• Collaborate with Data & Analytics teams to extract and interpret key shopper insights, including trend analysis, segmentation, and shopper decision trees, supporting markets to optimize commercial decision-making and campaign design.
• Oversee the execution of category management plans in each market, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and monitoring performance against category and shopper KPIs.
• Work closely with Revenue Management, Sales, Innovations teams to ensure effective price implementation in-store and category opportunities.
• Drive governance routines and ensure timely follow-up on category plans and results across markets.
• Lead training and capability building methodologies and initiatives to develop local teams’ expertise in category management.
Key Focus Areas Strategic Alignment and Market Coordination:
• Ensure alignment between local market activities and the overall European category strategy.
• Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing across markets to identify growth opportunities and optimize category performance.
• Leverage shopper insights, POS, Household panel and market data to inform category strategies, supporting retailers and internal teams in making factbased commercial decisions.
• Focus on key channels, with an emphasis on supermarkets and high-impact retail formats, to maximize category growth.
• Monitor and support the implementation of category plans, tracking progress through relevant KPIs and adjusting actions as necessary to meet commercial objectives.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution and integration of category initiatives across multiple touchpoints.
Experience:
• 5+ years of experience in CPG industry
• Senior-level background in FMCG or beverages
• Deep understanding of category management and data analysis tools
• 7+ years in the CPG industry
• Broader experience across adjacent functions like Shopper Insights or Revenue Growth Management
