What to Expect
As an associate software engineer, your focus will be on the various aspects of our financial and sales-oriented frontend and backend applications where you will work closely together with other experienced developers on regional projects in addition to urgent, immediate changes. The objective is to optimize and expand existing applications developed in-house, which provide a competitive advantage and are an essential part of our business.
It is an exciting and demanding position that requires to multitask, prioritize, and work in an extremely fast-moving, collaborative environment. Because you are working on urgent, immediate changes, you have excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to interpret data and identify improvements in the given context.
What You'll Do
* Continually learn, set, teach, apply software best practices, tools and technologies
* Provide improvement recommendations that are based on best practices and industry standards, continuously monitor the new trends to inform current recommendation
* Communicate and collaborate with a variety of parties, such as project engineers, quality engineers, release engineers and, of course, business stakeholders
* Handle multiple projects and tasks in parallel
* In addition to ongoing projects, be responsible for tackling urgent problems that require immediate action
* Investigate root cause of failures to drive continual improvement
What You'll Bring
* Knowledge of latest backend web stack (preferably C# - Java,, Python etc. are nice to have)
* Knowledge of latest frontend web stack (Angular, React etc.)
* Have experience in latest software development frameworks (preferably .NET Core)
* Have experience in RESTful web services and web applications
* Have experience with building scalable and distributed systems
* Knowledge of test automation frameworks
* Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database (MySQL, MongoDB etc.)
* Have experience with source control management tools (Git, JIRA etc.)
* Have proficiency in English language in both written and verbal form
