We're looking for a Broadcast IP Engineer with deep expertise in SMPTE ST 2110 to help design, deploy, and operate next-generation IP-based broadcast systems. You'll work at the intersection of broadcast engineering and high-performance IP networking, supporting mission-critical live production environments where reliability, timing, and quality are everything.

ResponsibilitiesDesign, deploy, and support SMPTE ST 2110-based video, audio, and data workflowsImplement and maintain PTP (IEEE 1588) timing architectures for precision synchronisationConfigure and operate multicast IP networks (IGMP, PIM, QoS) for real-time media transportIntegrate broadcast systems and endpoints across Cisco-based IP infrastructuresWork with broadcast controllers such as Cerebrum for system orchestration and controlSupport live production environments, troubleshooting media-over-IP signal flows and performance issuesCollaborate with broadcast engineers, IT/network teams, and vendors to deliver robust, scalable solutionsContribute to system design, documentation, testing, and continuous improvement of IP broadcast workflows
Skills RequiredEssentialHands-on experience with SMPTE ST 2110 (video, audio, ancillary data)Strong knowledge of NMOS, PTP / IEEE 1588, and real-time media transportSolid understanding of IP networking in production environments (Ethernet switching, routing, multicast IGMP/PIM, QoS)Experience with Cisco networking in broadcast or media environments (including tools such as IPFM)Good understanding of broadcast media flows: SDI, IP transport, uncompressed video, compression conceptsExperience working with professional broadcast equipment and endpoint media devices
Nice to haveExperience with Cerebrum broadcast control systemsBackground in live production, OB trucks, studios, or remote production environmentsExperience migrating facilities from SDI to IPVendor or systems integrator experience
