Cost Manager Lead – Data Centre Construction
Location: Farciennes, Belgium

The opportunity
In this role you will:
* Act as key account lead for a major client, building relationships based on partnership and trust
* Oversee strategically important data centre and life sciences projects from pre-con through delivery
* Create robust estimates and cost plans for large scale developments, using CostX and databooks with confidence
* Lead and mentor a sizeable cost management team, setting standards and driving performance
* Take the lead on QTO for Cost Plans and BoQs, ensuring accuracy and consistency across the portfolio
* Develop and implement QA/QC plans and manuals to assure quality across all cost deliverables
* Work hands-on with MEP packages, with solid understanding of MEPF works
* Support proposals, bids, and business development, winning repeat work and opening new opportunities
* Handle stakeholders across multiple time zones and functions, from client leadership to project teams
* Train and develop future leaders, lifting capability across the team
What you bring
You are a senior cost professional who is comfortable owning the room, the client and the numbers. To be successful you will need: Cost Manager Lead JD
* 15+ years of cost management experience, especially pre-construction, ideally from a consultancy environment
* Track record on large scale construction projects, ideally including data centres and life sciences
* 4+ years working with CostX or similar platforms (PlanSwift, Cubicost, Candy, ZWCAD etc.)
* Experience leading a business unit or major account, including building teams and developing client relationships
* Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, or a construction discipline
* Chartered status (MRICS or equivalent) or actively working towards it
* Strong commercial awareness and a nose for market opportunity
* Excellent communication skills in writing and in person, with the ability to explain complex detail clearly
* A collaborative leadership style that balances high standards with a sense of openness and fun
You must already have the legal right to work in Belgium and be living in, or genuinely prepared to relocate to, Farciennes.
