Within our Structural Heart division, the Mitral Therapies portfolio is at the forefront of innovation, transforming the treatment of mitral valve disease across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.We are looking for a Marketing Manager – Mitral Therapies to lead the strategic and tactical execution of marketing and business programs that drive growth and long‑term development of our mitral valve repair and replacement therapies in the region.
Your role
As Marketing Manager – Mitral Therapies, you will be responsible for translating regional and global strategies into impactful marketing initiatives across multiple countries. You will work closely with regional and country teams, global partners and cross‑functional stakeholders to create differentiation, increase therapy adoption and support sustainable business growth.You will be an active member of the regional marketing leadership team and play a key role in operational planning, people development and product launches.
What you will do
Marketing strategy and execution
4. Develop and implement regional marketing strategies and operational plans aligned with global direction and local market needs
5. Define clear market segmentation, positioning and core messaging, with regular reporting on effectiveness
6. Challenge existing approaches and prioritize innovative strategies that create competitive differentiation, including the use of new technologies
Product launches and commercial support
7. Coordinate product launches across the region in close collaboration with demand and supply teams
8. Translate marketing strategies into effective sales programs, tools and customer‑facing materials to support market share growth
9. Provide guidance for financial planning, forecasting and strategic planning activities
Education, events and customer engagement
10. Contribute to the development of educational programs in partnership with education teams
11. Lead regional congresses and trade shows, including symposium planning, live case preparation, customer speaker readiness and post‑event reporting
12. Support regional medical advisory boards and manage engagement with key opinion leaders
Cross‑functional collaboration
13. Work closely with medical affairs and market access teams to support therapy adoption and preferential market growth
14. Partner with country and regional teams to ensure strong alignment and effective local execution
15. Manage assigned budgets and contribute to a collaborative, high‑performing marketing team culture
What you bring
Experience
16. At least three to five years of experience in sales and/or marketing within the medical device industry
17. Experience working in multinational, matrix organizations
18. Experience in cardiovascular or structural heart therapies is an advantage

19. Strong strategic, analytical and hands‑on marketing capabilities
20. Solid understanding of the European healthcare environment and local market dynamics
21. Proven project management skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders
22. Strong communication and influencing skills, including interaction with senior clinical customers

Education
26. Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or business‑related field (required)
27. Master’s degree or business administration degree in a scientific or business‑related field (preferred)
Additional information
This role requires presence in hospital catheterization laboratories. Compliance with all applicable laws and Abbott internal health and safety procedures is required, including wearing protective equipment such as lead aprons.
