Technical Architect Security Consultant

We are looking for a seasoned security architect to serve as a subject‑matter expert and thought leader in designing information system security solutions. The role involves engaging in specialized consulting engagements, leading the creation of cross‑technology solutions, and acting as a trusted advisor to clients on security architecture aligned with their governance models.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct consultative engagements as lead consultant or team member, delivering assessment services in security architecture and governance.
Evaluate clients’ current security architecture, identify weaknesses, recommend improvement points, and compare architecture scenarios.
Coordinate implementation and corrective efforts to ensure end‑to‑end coherence of technical solutions with delivery teams.
Hand‑over engagement information and opportunities to internal stakeholders and develop standardized engagement templates.
Perform business development and presales work for opportunities within the security domain.
Mentor less experienced consultants or architects.
Supportive Consultant in Presales
Collaborate with subject‑matter experts to create complex security solutions focusing on service, application, and infrastructure components.
Guarantee global coherence of proposed solutions.
Trusted Advisor in Long‑Term Relationship
Map client business strategy, policies, and roadmap to security frameworks and technology architectures.
Coordinate design and implementation to support the client’s security governance roadmap.
Collaborate with Transformation Consultants and client security leaders to deliver strategic advice.
Work with program managers and centers of excellence to enhance long‑term client relationships.
Co‑operate with sales teams to identify additional opportunities.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in ICT (Master’s preferred) and relevant IT security certifications (CISSP, CISM, CISA, etc.).
Proven experience designing, deploying, and supporting large security deployments.
In‑depth knowledge of current security offerings (Fortinet, Cisco, Palo Alto, Checkpoint, etc.) and security components (IAM, SASE, SSE, NAC, VPN, PAM, cloud security, etc.).
Understanding of security control frameworks (ISO270xx, NIST, CIS) and regulations (NIS2, DORA, GDPR, etc.).
At least five years of experience in architecture and consulting roles.
Fluency in French or Dutch (mother tongue) and good written/verbal knowledge of the other language and English.
Emotional and stress resilience, self‑motivation and ability to meet challenging goals.
Clear, persuasive communication and ability to engage stakeholders in a consultative manner.
Balance of business and technology understanding across applications, services, and infrastructure.
Analytical thinking, strong problem‑solving skills, and rigor.
Strong initiative, innovation mindset, ability to identify efficient solutions.
Willingness to travel as required.
Capability to work as part of a team and lead opportunities where appropriate.
Eligible and prepared for NATO clearance if necessary.
