Your role
As a Global Customs Specialist for our Industrial Technique Business Area (ITBA), you are responsible for mapping, assessing, optimizing, and supporting the control of global customs flows and structures within our organization. You ensure that all processes are fully aligned with group-wide and ITBA trade compliance guidelines. You are the expert who guarantees compliance with all international and national customs laws and regulations and serve as the primary point of contact for all customs-related matters within our Business Area.
In this role, you advise on and develop global customs strategies for import and export in collaboration with customs authorities and internal stakeholders. You establish policies and procedures to ensure fully trade-compliant processes and proactively monitor changes in national and international customs legislation, translating them in a timely manner into our organization. Through risk analyses and process assessments within the Business Area, you identify improvement opportunities and contribute to the optimization of our customs processes.
You support the continued growth of our organization by implementing tailored customs procedures that align with both legal requirements and internal logistics flows. You map our operational customs flows and maintain close collaboration with our distribution centers and logistics departments. You coach and train colleagues on customs-related matters, conduct internal audits of our processes and at partner locations, report findings to the leadership team, and ensure the implementation of corrective actions.
As a member of the global Trade Compliance Team ITBA, you collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders, including customs authorities, export control agencies, and consultants. In this role, you report directly to the Trade Compliance Lead ITBA.

Job location
This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at our Atlas Copco airpower site in Wilrijk, Antwerp, Belgium (BE).
