Context of the assignment
We are looking for a freelance Senior Buyer for Securex to replace a colleague during her maternity leave.
The planned start date is between mid-January 2026 and early February 2026 and runs until mid-August 2026 and is situated within a purchasing department in the midst of further professionalization.
The focus is on structuring, supporting, and optimizing daily procurement activities across various categories and suppliers. You'll combine a hands-on approach with creating overview, structure, and process consistency.
Purpose of the assignment
Ensuring continuity within procurement during the absence
Bringing structure and clarity to purchasing processes and documentation
Supporting compliance initiatives (including NIS2)
Support in creating reporting and procurement KPIs
Your responsibilities
Operational & tactical purchasing management
Supervising and executing purchasing files for various categories and suppliers
Supporting internal teams with:
supplier selection
price and contract negotiations
contract management and extensions
Executing RFPs, RFQs and RFIs where relevant
Actively monitor supplier relationships and performance
Processes & structure
Setting up practical procedures, templates and checklists
Supporting governance and compliance initiatives, including preparation for NIS2
Ensuring knowledge retention and transferability
Stakeholdermanagement
Act as a point of contact for internal customers
Translating internal needs into market-oriented solutions
Professional and constructive communication with suppliers
Reporting & KPI's
Support in setting up procurement reporting
Support in defining procurement KPIs (e.g. spend, supplier performance, contract status)
Wanted profile
Extensive experience as a Senior Buyer or interim procurement consultant
Demonstrable experience in operational and tactical purchasing
Strong in:
to provide structure
setting up processes and documentation
working pragmatically in an existing organization
Affinity with compliance environments (experience with NIS2, ISO, audits or governance is a plus)
Experience with reporting and KPI setup within procurement
Independent, proactive and quickly deployable
Strong in stakeholder and supplier management
Fluent in Dutch, French and English
