Within this challenging role, you are responsible for managing and optimizing our database environments, reviewing and executing SQL scripts delivered by the development team, and processing and analyzing data to provide operational and strategic insights.
Review and execute SQL scripts delivered by the development teams, while helping to ensure smooth and reliable deployments.
Assist in backup and recovery processes to help safeguard mission-critical databases.
Support the analysis and processing of data to help generate operational and business insights.
Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide technical support to internal stakeholders where needed.
Continuously build knowledge in database administration, security, automation and Azure technologies.
Relevant IT degree and a first professional experience in database administration, data engineering or a similar technical role.
Solid foundation in Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL and SQL Server Management Studio.
Good understanding of core database concepts such as relational databases, data integrity, normalization and query optimization.
Interest in Azure and motivation to further develop knowledge of cloud-based database environments.
knowledge of PowerShell, Perl or Python is a plus.
Good command of Dutch and English.
Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes and data modelling.
