Job Description
Deliver end‐to‐end product features—from backend APIs and data models to engaging, responsive UI components.
Review and validate scalable software architectures, ensuring maintainability, reliability, and secure integrations across all layers.
Champion engineering practices: code reviews, automated testing, documentation, and CI/CD workflows.
Optimize performance across the stack through debugging, profiling, and system tuning.
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate business and user requirements into elegant solutions.
Maintain operational hygiene: clear documentation, smooth migrations, and predictable deployments.
Explore and share emerging technologies, with interest in Rust, WebAssembly, and modern API frameworks.
Background and Experience
Proven experience building full‐stack web applications with strong frontend and backend principles.
Proficiency in modern frontend frameworks (Vue, React, or similar) and component libraries such as Shadcn.
Experience developing robust backend services, ideally using Rust, or familiarity with typed backend languages.
Solid understanding of HTTP, RESTful API design, and performance optimisation.
Hands‐on experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, schema design, and query optimisation.
Familiarity with Git‐based workflows, continuous integration, and automated testing practices.
Strong debugging, problem‐solving, and analytical skills.
Product‐oriented mindset, balancing quality, speed, and user impact.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills with a proactive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to data‐intensive, governance‐driven, or fintech/crypto applications; curiosity for Rust or distributed systems.
Knowledge of secure coding practices, authentication/authorization models (OAuth2, OpenID Connect).
Familiarity with data visualisation libraries (D3.js, Recharts, etc.).
Experience with observability stacks (Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Faro, Datadog) and comfort instrumenting metrics, logs, and traces.
Ability to design applications with self‐observability in mind (health endpoints, tracing IDs, telemetry propagation).
Exposure to Kubernetes, containerised environments, and Helm‐based deployments.
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI) and infrastructure‐as‐code workflows.
Experience with cloud‐native environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) and security‐first design.
Comfort working with financial datasets, trade logs, or analytics dashboards.
Experience handling sensitive or regulated data, ideally in financial or crypto contexts.
