About the Role
Based in Wieze, Belgium, the Chocolate Academy Chef for the German market, a native German speaker, will support the Head of Chocolate Academy in promoting the Callebaut brand in the German speaking markets, while contributing to its international reputation. The role focuses on delivering customer sessions, offering technical expertise, developing products, and providing training, with a special emphasis on strengthening the brand in Germany while contributing to global initiatives when needed.
This role involves 50% travel.
Key Responsibilities Include
1. Support the customer journey by developing relevant concepts based on customer briefs essentially with Industrial customers. Guarantee a perfect execution of the Inspirational and Co-Creation days towards all typology of customers Inspire customer by showcasing our relevant product portfolio on inspiring creations Present the concepts at customer site, partner’s kitchen or one of our Academy
2. Create and develop all the new product applications per segment in coordination with Marketing including photoshoot and video shoot.
3. With the rest of the team, ensure the local development of Global brands identifying the right initiatives to support the sales development of the brand
4. Support the national fairs and events in Germany together with marketing and sales manager
5. Act as a local influencer within the internal Callebaut chef community and national chef community. Stay connected to the German and Austrian Ambassador network.
6. Travel requirements: around 2 weeks per month in DACH region
7. Monitor the activity of the Chocolate Academy with the dedicated tools (Salesforce and CMR).
About You
8. Degree in Culinary school (confectionery and pastry, ice cream is nice to have).
9. Degree in Food Technology or Gastronomy Science is nice to have.
10. Deep knowledge of pastry and confectionery techniques in for all typology of customers food manufacturing, chains, key accounts, instore bakery & global accounts business organization
11. Degustation and food pairing skills
12. Knowledge of B2B market and production organization of pastry business, pastry shops, hotels, restaurants and chocolate shops
13. Strong communication & public speaking skills
14. Experience of working in a multi-cultural international environment
15. Strong business acumen
16. Organization and anticipation skills.
17. To provide our clients with professional and confident support, fluent English and German skills in both spoken and written form are required.
