In pursuit of this goal, two entities have been founded in Europe. Toyota Connected Europe, located in London, serves as the technological solutions provider. On the other hand, Toyota Connected Technologies, headquartered in Brussels, takes responsibility for devising, planning, and executing the European strategy for connected, multimedia, and mobility services.
Toyota Connected Technologies Division has a clear focus on the Car of Tomorrow.
Your responsibilities
* Support Toyota’s data privacy protection for connected cars in Europe.
* Support in the design of a strategy and direction for connected car data protection from a business and customer-centric perspective with a clear vision and roadmap.
* Establish a compliance program for Connected Technologies to ensure privacy-by-design and GDPR compliance for all projects of Connected Technologies.
* Conduct privacy impact assessments for new products, features, and services to identify and mitigate privacy risks.
* Collaborate with product development teams to integrate privacy-by-design principles into the development lifecycle.
* Communicate with relevant stakeholders for privacy projects and be able to understand all the technical and functional requirements.
* Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on privacy-related matters, including data collection, processing, and sharing practices.
* Monitor changes in privacy laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure ongoing compliance and adaptation of privacy programs.
* Collaborate with legal counsel and external consultants as needed to address complex privacy issues and ensure alignment with legal requirements.
* Define & provide training on why/how/when we use vehicle data within Toyota organisation, the National Marketing and Sales Companies, retailers.

Profile
Your profile
* You are fluent in English (Toyota Motor Europe’s business language)
* Master's degree in law, computer science, information systems, or a related field.
* 3-5 years of experience in privacy, data protection, or related fields, with a focus on the automotive or technology sector.
* In-depth knowledge of privacy laws and regulations, such as GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant standards (e.g., ISO 27001).
* Proven experience developing and implementing privacy policies, procedures, and controls in a corporate environment.
* Strong understanding of connected services, IoT technologies, and data processing practices in the automotive industry.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex privacy concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) or other relevant privacy certifications preferred.
