Carrier is a Global leading provider of heating, ventilating, air conditioning and building controls.
We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and dynamic, Service Director Benelux to drive and lead the transformation and growth of the Carrier HVAC Service businesses across the zone. You will be responsible for managing the operational performance, orders growth and full P&L ownership for both the Carrier, CIAT and Viessmann Aftermarket business. Product lines under responsibility will include Maintenance Portfolio, Commissioning, Repairs, Modernization and Parts.


You will direct and manage all Service operations to ensure high performance, continuous efficiency, financial stability, and full compliance. Key priorities will include high levels of customer satisfaction, field service productivity, higher installed based coverage, service agreement renewals, and growth in connected services. Operational responsibilities include maximizing revenue, increasing profitability, and managing expenditure and staffing costs. The role will lead and manage the service sales team to achieve sales targets and drive profitable growth in the region. This role involves developing and implementing sales strategies, managing customer relationships, and ensuring the effective execution of sales initiatives to achieve high growth sales. C-ordination and alignment between operational, sales and function teams will be a key focus area to optimize performance. Currently the business is +200 HC and € 60m revenues with a YoY double digit growth ambition until 2030.


The role reports into the Managing Director for the Carrier CSE Benelux (which includes all Carrier, CIAT as Viessmann businesses) and will work closely with our international organisation. The role will be based in the Netherlands or Belgium and will typically require ~ 40% travel to cover the breadth of the region.

The major tasks, duties, and responsibilities of the role includes:

1. Responsible for the overall execution and profitability in the service business to achieve or exceed Plan (P&L management inc. revenue, gross margin, overheads, EBIT, cashflow etc.)
2. Co-ownership with the Cluster for the service area budget/targets, revenue and operational targets, monthly forecasting, and team performance to achieve and execute rapid growth.
3. Ensures marketing and Sales strategies are developed to achieve growth in sales revenue, deliver best in class customer satisfaction and improve market share.
4. Ensures a strong focus on implementing and driving digital and Operational transformation, utilising a new service business model (connected and digital services).
5. Works with the Service operational leaders and back office teams to ensure the overall delivery and quality of service operations is aligned and standardized to functional requirements.
6. Coordinates the achievement of operations initiatives, targets, and key performance indicators.
7. Engages in the executive sponsorship of key or targeted customers at a senior level.
8. Maintains personal contact with key customers to understand needs and issues. Regular visitation of key customers to build strong lasting relationships.
9. Oversees hiring, retention, and talent development programs across the area, including key succession planning and technician growth programs.
10. Engages with functional colleagues across the organization for strategic planning and feedback on performance and corrective actions to achieve targets.
11. Develops action plans to improve price performance and improve gross margins to contribute towards a sustained improvement in profit.
12. The meeting of and continuous improvement of quality standards of performance, behaviors and customer service levels and the promotion of the carrier Culture.
13. Responsible to ensure adequate organizational and team effectiveness aligned to service delivery through: maximizing the effective and efficient use of labour resources; identifying and addressing skills gaps, key training needs and performance management through periodic assessment tools such as Performance Connections and Leadership Development reviews.
14. Responsibility for EH&S and Ethics compliance across the operations teams.
15. Ensure area practices comply with all local and international laws/ legislation

What We’re Looking For

16. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Engineering.
17. Extensive experience in service or maintenance-based industries, either Residential and/or Commercial Segment; HVAC knowledge is a plus.
18. Proven track record in P&L management and financial forecasting.
19. Strong leadership skills with experience managing remote teams and driving breakthrough performance through structured Growth Initiatives.
20. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
21. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed corporate environment.
22. Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with ServiceMax, SAP, or similar tools.
23. Strong proficiency in both Dutch and English; knowledge of French and/or German is considered an asset;
24. Experience working in a larger international organisation is considered an asset.
