Finance Business Partner
We are looking for a curious, data-driven and analytically strong Finance Business Partner, digitally fluent and ready for the future, to join our Insight to Impact (i2i) R&D team at our headquarters in Brussels, Belgium.
About the role
In this role, you will act as the Finance Business Partner for Patient Evidence Stakeholders & Communities (PE S&C). You will be the primary finance point of contact for your scope, working closely with senior stakeholders across PE S&C and in close collaboration with another Finance Business Partner covering the area.
The Insight to Impact (i2i) R&D team operates as an independent and trusted sparring partner to R&D leadership. We create impact by connecting insights, assessing risks and opportunities, supporting business cases including resource reallocation, and driving robust business planning and decision-making.

Senior stakeholders across the various sub-teams within Patient Evidence S&C.
The other Finance Business Partner supporting Patient Evidence S&C.
Integrate (planning & resource management tool) team, Resource management & process improvement lead.
Financial Planning & Analysis, Accounting, Planning & Reporting and colleagues within I2I R&D.
Talent Partners and other cross-functional teams.
This role requires strong collaboration across functions and geographies.
What you’ll do
Build and maintain trusted partnerships with PE S&C stakeholders, combining strong business support with the ability to challenge, influence and shape decisions
Develop a deep understanding of PE S&C activities, business drivers, and external partnerships, identifying opportunities for efficiency and value creation
Collaborate closely with FP&A to ensure clear role definition, standardized reporting, and timely, high-quality financial analysis using modern reporting tools and dashboards
Take joint ownership (with FP&A) of the Budget, Forecast, and Long-Term Plan processes for PE S&C, including internal resource allocation
Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate accruals and compliance with IFRS
Lead monthly financial performance reviews, delivering forward-looking insights, trend analysis, and scenario-based perspectives
Develop, validate, and challenge business cases for new or incremental investments, applying financial modelling and data-driven insights to inform recommendations
Drive dynamic resource allocation and prioritisation by leveraging data, analytics, and predictive insights to support transparent, fact-based decision-making
Actively contribute to the evolution of finance ways of working by adopting and promoting digital finance tools, automation, advanced analytics, and emerging AI-enabled solutions to improve efficiency, insight generation, and decision support

Education, experience, skills & mindset
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration or a related field.
Several years of experience in controlling or finance within an international environment.
Strong financial analysis and forecasting capabilities, with a solid understanding of business drivers.
Experience working with reporting tools, SAP (FICO modules) and strong accounting knowledge (IFRS).
Curious, analytical, able to connect the dots in complex settings.
Digitally savvy, eager to leverage new tools/technologies.
Strong problem-solver, calm and effective under pressure.
Proactive and risk-aware, builds alternative scenarios.
Influential stakeholder partner, confident.
