Overview
Lead transportation procurement operations, managing carrier contracts and processes to ensure efficient delivery while optimizing costs.
Key Job Responsibilities
* Evaluate contracts and conduct performance audits.
* Perform cost analysis and establish improvement benchmarks.
* Implement risk management procedures.
* Drive supplier relationships and negotiations.
* Ensure compliance with company spending policies.
* Lead procurement metrics and improvement initiatives.
* Track KPIs and develop action plans for savings goals.
* Manage category suppliers to proactively identify, monitor and optimize opportunities.
* Identify, achieve and report on savings and value targets for category sourcing activities.
* Align with internal customers and understand the business application of the category.
* Analyze data and find patterns to optimize Amazon costs.
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree
* Speak, write, and read fluently in English
* Experience with Excel, including use of complex formulas and pivot tables to manipulate large datasets and interpret results
* Experience prioritizing and handling multiple assignments at any given time while maintaining commitment to deadlines, or experience in a fast‑paced, high‑tech company
* Can communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in supply chain such as contracting, demand management, and/or planning and procurement, and supply chain operations
* Transportation/logistics industry exposure preferred
