The Role
We are looking for a System Engineer – Hydraulic Actuation & Power Shift Modules to strengthen the System Engineering team. In this role, you will focus on the hydraulic systems and clutch modules within the DT2 hybrid transmission product line, contributing across the full development cycle—from specification and design to validation and aftersales support.
You'll collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure robust system integration and performance while supporting ongoing improvements and issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities
* Translate product-level requirements into subsystem-level specifications and architectures
* Manage Critical-to-Function (CTF) items and ensure compliance across development stages
* Lead V-cycle system testing, validation, and troubleshooting to guarantee performance, safety, and reliability
* Coordinate technical decision-making with stakeholders across multiple departments and customers
* Conduct system simulations, modelling, and analysis to verify performance and ensure industry compliance
* Create and maintain system documentation and technical specifications
* Participate in design reviews, FMEAs, and risk assessments
* Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions using structured methods (e.g., 8D, QRQC)
* Support the development of Functional Safety and Cybersecurity requirements
Your Profile
* Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience, ideally within the automotive sector
* Solid foundation in mechanical design and manufacturing, with an understanding of software and controls integration
* Proficient in tools such as Matlab, Simulink, Vector Canape, Minitab, and requirement management tools like Polarion
* Familiar with structured problem-solving and quality methodologies such as 5W2H, 8D, and Six Sigma
* Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
* Fluent in English (written and spoken)
* Collaborative and proactive mindset
* Candidates must have the right to work in Belgium without the need for visa sponsorship or a work permit
