This position isembedded within one of our client organisations, where the selected candidate will work directly with internal teams to support visual communication efforts across digital platforms.
Role Overview:
The Graphic Designer will be responsible for creating high-impact visual assets for use across websites, intranet, social media, and other digital platforms. The role also involves proactively proposing new visual approaches to illustrate and communicate policy initiatives and their outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design compelling digital assets for web and social media (e.g. banners, illustrations, icons, infographics, motion graphics, interactive elements).
2. Conceptualise and deliver web-adapted infographics, including data gathering, simplification, interpretation, and visualisation.
3. Edit photos and images to enhance visual quality and meet design specifications.
4. Capture photos during events or high-level meetings involving EU staff.
5. Provide advice on visual communication strategies when needed.
6. Develop visual identity materials and templates for special projects.
7. Maintain graphic standards and implement consistent design concepts.
8. Deliver accessible, informative, and engaging materials for diverse audiences.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
9. Proven experience in graphic design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating creativity and innovation.
10. Proficient professional with over 5 years of experience in graphic design.
11. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other design tools.
12. Experience using online tools (e.g. Canva) to create high-quality infographics.
13. Strong creative and conceptual design skills.
14. Familiarity with user-centred design principles and methodologies.
15. Photography experience and proficiency with photo-editing software.
Languages:
16. English: B2 level (understanding, speaking, writing)
