* Well‑developed analytical and modeling skills
* Strong written and verbal communication skills in Portuguese and English; Spanish preferred
* Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills (mandatory)
* Python programming and VBA knowledge preferred
* Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts
* Interest in responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use
Education
* Students matriculating in a degree program in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Accounting, or a related field
* Ideally one year ahead of graduation
Responsibilities
Supports transaction surveillance and ratings analysis through financial modeling, portfolio review, and research.
* Review performance of existing transactions and assist in preparing quarterly surveillance reports
* Analyze transaction documents to understand legal, operational, and counterparty risks
* Analyze characteristics of underlying portfolios and performance history
* Apply default and cash flow modeling in line with Moody’s Local rating methodologies
* Attend virtual and in‑person meetings with originators, advisors, and transaction participants
* Assist in preparing rating committee materials
* Support timely and relevant research on issuers and sector‑related topics
* Assist in rating methodology, model, and scorecard updates
About The Team
The Structured Finance team at Moody’s Local Brasil assigns and monitors credit ratings for structured finance transactions issued in the Brazilian market, covering instruments such as FIDC, CBI, CRAG, and Fiagro, and asset classes such as auto loans, payroll‑deducted loans, consumer credit, trade receivables, credit card receivables, and mortgage loans.
