Ph3Position Summary /h3pAssociate Director, Clinical Scientist (Biomarker Integration, Neuroscience) located in Beerse, Belgium, will lead the implementation of end‑to‑end biomarker strategies for neuroscience clinical development programs. The role collaborates with cross‑functional teams to ensure biomarker integration aligns with program objectives, regulatory requirements, and Precision Measures Plans. /ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliDrive incorporation of biomarker strategies into study design, execution, and reporting, including contributing to key clinical documents, overseeing assay selection and validation, and ensuring high‑quality biomarker data generation, analysis, and interpretation. /liliAnalyze, interpret, and report fluid and tissue biomarker data in assigned neuroscience clinical development programs and implement the sample retention strategy. /liliTranslate and implement non‑medical scientific concepts into study design and program across planning, execution, and reporting, integrating biomarkers, digital technologies, data science initiatives, and selected vendor clinical strategies. /liliProvide scientific oversight of external vendors and contract laboratories, ensuring appropriate assay methodologies, data quality, and timely delivery of results. /liliManage biospecimen strategy implementation, including sample retention, inventory management, and end‑to‑end tracking for all human samples from clinical development programs, with budgetary and contractual oversight to maximize long‑term value. /liliServe as the key interface between Precision Measures and Clinical Development for assigned programs, ensuring effective knowledge transfer of validated biomarker assays and enabling consistent implementation across programs. /liliDevelop and deliver training on biomarker integration topics to clinical teams and cross‑functional stakeholders. /li /ulh3Education Experience /h3ulliPhD required with a minimum of 6 years industry experience. /liliAt least 8 years of drug discovery development experience strongly preferred. /liliExperience with biomarker development, implementation, and clinical development required; IVD or diagnostics development experience preferred. /liliNeuroscience experience strongly preferred. /liliExceptional analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for independent decision making. /liliExcellent interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships and influencing without reporting authority. /liliExceptional communication and presentation skills, able to clearly articulate complex ideas to cross‑functional teams. /li /ulh3Skills Knowledge /h3ulliProven experience in managing work in a matrix organizational structure. /liliFluent written and spoken English. /liliWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word). /liliExperience and knowledge of Good Clinical Practices and regulatory requirements for the conduct of clinical trials and for regulatory filings. /li /ulh3Compensation Benefits /h3pAnticipated base pay range: €96,000 – €165,025. /ppBenefits include: annual bonus, vacation days, parental leave (minimum 12 weeks), bereavement leave, caregiver leave, volunteer leave, well‑being reimbursement, programs for financial, physical and mental health, service‑anniversary awards, and eligibility for various insurance plans. /ph3EEO Statement /h3pJohnson Johnson is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
