Engineer II & III – Software (Python | Cloud | Azure)

We are looking for talented Software Engineers (Level II and III) to join our growing engineering team in Spain. You will work in a collaborative, international environment, building scalable, production-grade software systems in the cloud. While Spanish is not mandatory, fluency in English is essential. Spanish speakers may have an advantage, as it can make local collaboration easier.
What you’ll do
* Collaborate: Work closely with data scientists and fellow software engineers to support scalable and sustainable data and model-driven processes. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a strong team culture.
* Lead: Design, implement, and optimize complex systems, platforms, and data processing pipelines in a cloud environment (primarily Azure), with a focus on automation, scalability, and reliability.
* Drive: Make sound technical and design decisions, actively contributing to architectural discussions and improving engineering, testing, and operational practices.
* Own: Take end-to-end ownership of major projects or significant components, from requirements gathering through to high-quality, production-ready solutions.
* Innovate: Champion improvements, lead technical initiatives, and help shape best practices across the team and wider organization.
What you’ll need
* 5+ years of relevant industry experience developing production-grade software and delivering end-to-end analytics or platform projects.
* Strong proficiency in Python for software engineering, design, and development (experience with additional languages is a plus).
* Solid experience with object-oriented programming, design patterns, testing frameworks, and software development best practices.
* Proven ability to simplify complex data structures and solve challenging technical problems.
* Experience designing and building efficient, scalable software architectures.
* Strong collaborative engineering experience, including code reviews, version control (Git), testing, and deployment pipelines. Knowledge of TDD, XP, and pair programming is a plus.
* Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, observability, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
* Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, ideally Azure (AWS or GCP experience is also valued), including architecting and maintaining data processing systems.
* Excellent English communication skills, written and verbal, to work effectively in an international environment.
* Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
