Our client, a top marketing agency serving e-commerce clients, is hiring an Associate Account Manager, Retail Media!
About the Role
We're looking for a sharp, organized Associate Account Manager who lives for client work. Someone who can run a packed account portfolio, become the deep expert across every aspect of their brands, and build the kind of client relationships that make our clients pick up the phone first.
Think of this role as the mitochondria of your pod, the source of energy and knowledge that powers every account. You won't always be hands‑on‑keyboard launching campaigns (though sometimes you will be), but you should always know what's happening, why, and what's next. You'll own day‑to‑day client communication, drive timelines, and serve as the trusted point of contact across our portfolio. Our Data and Media teams may handle part of the execution lift, but you're the one who knows the brand cold, sees the full picture, and can speak fluently to any part of the business at any moment.
Retail media is the industry we live in, and you'll learn it fast. If you've worked across Instacart, Walmart Connect, Roundel, KPM, or DoorDash before, great. That's a head start. If you haven't, but you've run client accounts at an agency or owned brand‑side marketing programs, we'll teach you the RMN language. What we can't teach is taste, organization, ownership, and the ability to make clients feel taken care of.

What You'll Actually Do
Be the Deep Expert on Your Accounts
* Serve as the day‑to‑day point of contact and account expert for 8–10 CPG brand accounts. You know the brand, the strategy, the platforms, the context, and the performance in and out.
* Build trusted relationships with client marketing leads, c‑suite level executives, brand managers, and cross‑agency partners. They should feel like you know their business as well as they do.
* Run weekly calls and drive agendas with confidence, leading the conversation and providing insight, not just taking notes.
* Translate client priorities into clear briefs and timelines for our internal Data and Media teams, then stay close enough to the work to answer any client question in real time.
* Lead status updates, weekly recaps, and reporting reviews that tell a clear, compelling story about what's working, what's next, and why it matters.
Keep the Pod Organized
* Own account organization end‑to‑end: meeting notes, action items, follow‑ups, budget trackers, campaign calendars, and recap docs.
* Drive accountability across internal teams, making sure deliverables hit on time and nothing falls through the cracks.
* Protect your cross‑functional teammates from unfeasible client deadlines by setting client expectations.
* Build, maintain, and optimize the systems that keep a fast‑moving pod efficient (templates, SOPs, trackers).
Own the Strategy Across Retail Media
* Partner with our Data and Media teams to plan and optimize campaigns across platforms like Instacart, Walmart Connect, Roundel, Criteo, KPM/8451, DoorDash, WFM Amazon, and more. Sometimes hands‑on on the platform, always close enough to the work to answer for it.
* Stay on top of 5‑, 6‑, or 7‑figure monthly media budgets in collaboration with the Media team. Know the pacing, know the ROAS, know what's moving and why.
* Oversee digital shelf strategy across your pod: PDP optimization, brand pages, review programs, display refreshes, new product launches, and more.
* Coordinate creative briefs, asset development, and compliance across retail media platforms with the client.
Build Platform & Partner Relationships
* Build working relationships with retail media platform reps, keeping the door open and negotiating for added value, new betas, and account‑specific opportunities.
* Bring back what you learn. Flag opportunities, ask smart questions, and help us sharpen our POV across networks.
* You have roughly 2–5 years of experience in account management, client services, shopper marketing, brand‑side CPG marketing, retail media, or agency account management. We're specifically looking for high‑upside operators still early in their career who are hungry to grow fast.
* You're scrappy, resourceful, and proactive. You don't wait around for perfect direction, you figure things out, move quickly, and take ownership.
* You're exceptional at client communication: clear, calm, warm, and direct. People trust you fast.
* You're freakishly organized. You don't lose track of action items, you write the meeting notes nobody asked for, and you actually use your calendar.
* You can manage 8–10 things at once and still know what's due Friday.
* You're a strong writer. Your status updates read like they were edited, even when they weren't.
* You're curious and endlessly passionate about CPG and retail. You notice packaging at Target. You know what an endcap is. You care how brands grow.
* You're scrappy and operate with deep ownership. You want to know everything about your accounts, not because you have to, but because you'd be miserable not knowing.
* You're excited to grow into deeper RMN expertise over time (we'll teach you the platforms; your job is to absorb them fast).
Bonus Points
* Hands‑on experience with one or more retail media platforms (Instacart, Walmart Connect, Roundel, KPM/8451, DoorDash, Amazon, Criteo)
* Prior agency experience managing a client portfolio
* Comfort with reporting tools, paid media dashboards, or basic data storytelling
* Experience working with media or data teams in a cross‑functional pod model
