Our client is a large, well‑established Belgian organization operating in a structured and socially dynamic environment. The HR team plays a key role in supporting business performance, ensuring legal compliance, and managing constructive dialogue with unions and internal stakeholders.
Job Description
* Strategic HR team in a high‑impact labour relations environment
* Work in tandem with a French‑speaking counterpart on HR topics
* Translate strategic HR priorities into a clear and compliant HR regulatory framework.
* Assess the impact of HR regulatory changes on operations, systems, processes, and budgets.
* Draft concise reports including impact analysis, findings, and recommendations.
* Review which HR regulatory aspects can be adapted, how, and with what consequences.
* Advise on the interpretation and application of HR regulation in complex personnel and operational matters.
* Support the manager as a true right hand in sensitive and high‑stakes files, including serious misconduct cases.
* Coordinate with HR experts, HR business partners, operational stakeholders, and the legal employer entity.
* Contribute as the internal reference expert on HR regulation in cross‑functional projects.
* Prepare negotiations with unions by gathering relevant data and developing supporting documentation.
* Help manage HR policy evolution and present changes in a constructive way to social partners.
* Maintain regular contact with leadership and act as a mediator when needed.
The Successful Applicant
* Master's degree, ideally in Law, or equivalent through experience.
* Languages: Dutch fluent and strong French professional level.
* At least 5 years of experience in HR regulation, social legislation, and collaboration across departments.
* Strong exposure to collective labour relations and experience dealing with unions.
* Solid understanding of Belgian social law and HR policy frameworks.
* Strong analytical and synthesis skills, with the ability to turn complex matters into clear conclusions and recommendations.
* Confident in taking positions, defending viewpoints, and advising senior stakeholders.
* Able to understand operational realities and propose pragmatic, tailored solutions.
* Calm, patient, human, and diplomatic in approach.
* Strong listening skills with an empathetic yet objective communication style.
* Structured, process‑oriented, and effective in stakeholder communication.
* Experience as a mediator or in delicate social situations is a strong advantage.
* Knowledge of SAP HR is a plus.
