Job Description
As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading a small, dedicated team of web developers in the design, development, and maintenance of our core applications. You'll be a hands-on leader, spending a significant portion of your time coding while also mentoring your team, fostering a culture of technical excellence, and driving project success.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR AN INDIVIDUAL WHO CAN:
* Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 5 software engineers.
* Serve as the primary technical point of contact for the team and stakeholders.
* Architect, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable web applications using PHP, Laravel, and Vue.js.
* Co-design and consume RESTful APIs provided by the Backend team for seamless data integration.
* Oversee code quality, conduct code reviews, and implement a comprehensive testing strategy.
* Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
* Manage the software development lifecycle using Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
* Utilize and optimize our CI/CD pipelines with tools like CircleCI.
* Oversee project tracking and maintain comprehensive documentation to ensure efficient team workflows.
* Actively contribute to shaping technical strategy and long-term architecture.
Qualifications
AN INDIVIDUAL WHO HAS:
* Proven experience as a Team Lead in a PHP/Laravel/Vue.js environment.
* Expertise in building Single-Page Applications (SPAs) with a modern JavaScript framework, preferably Vue.js.
* Solid understanding of RESTful API design and principles.
* Experience with CI/CD tools, particularly CircleCI.
* Proficiency in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
* Experience with project management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
* Strong leadership, conflict resolution, and strategic thinking skills.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
* Fluent in English, both written and oral; French is a plus.
Nice to have:
* Knowledge of AWS, including ECS, Redis and Lambda.
* Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker.
* Experience with monitoring and dashboarding tools like Datadog.
* A passion for mentoring and knowledge sharing.
* Experience with remote or hybrid team management.
