The Department of Linguistics in the Faculty of Arts is looking for a part-time (50%-60%) senior researcher in the field of Dutch Linguistics.
Position
1. You conduct research into language variation and/or change in Dutch and report on it in peer-reviewed articles.
2. You will contribute to attracting external funding.
3. You will assist in the supervision of PhD students and other team members.
4. You may fulfil a limited number of teaching activities.
5. You will participate in the provision of academic services.
Profile
6. You hold a PhD in Dutch linguistics (or you will have obtained it by the time you start work).
7. Your research qualities are in line with the faculty and .
8. Your teaching competences are in line with the University of Antwerp’s .
9. You act with attention to quality, integrity, creativity and cooperation.
10. You can speak and write fluently in English and Dutch.
11. Your expertise consists of quantitative corpus research into Dutch variation and/or change.
What we offer
12. We offer a part-time contract as a senior researcher for a period of 2 years.
13. Your gross monthly salary is calculated according to the for a principal research fellow in the Contract Research Staff category (Dutch: Bijzonder Academisch Personeel, BAP).
14. You will receive ecocheques, Internet-connectivity allowance, a group insurance, an income protection insurance, and a bicycle allowance or a full reimbursement of public transport costs for commuting.
15. The planned start date is 1 October or as soon as possible after that date.
16. You will do most of your work at the campus in the city centre in a dynamic and stimulating working environment.
