The role
As a Senior FPGA Engineer, you will play a key technical role within the in-house R&D team, taking ownership of FPGA and SoC design activities across the full development lifecycle. This is a hands‑on position with influence over architecture decisions, technical direction and the adoption of new technologies.
Key responsibilities
Lead and contribute to the architecture, design and implementation of electronic hardware projects across multiple domains, including broadcast, ProAV and medical
Define and specify FPGA / SoC architectures aligned with system‑level requirements
Design, implement and optimise FPGA / SoC solutions using VHDL
Perform and oversee FPGA testing, verification and validation in a laboratory environment
Support debugging and integration activities alongside hardware and software teams
Explore, evaluate and introduce new technologies within R&D and research programmes
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to more junior engineers where required
What we’re looking for
Master’s degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering
Senior‑level experience in FPGA development (typically 5+ years), ideally within video and/or image processing
Strong, hands‑on expertise in VHDL, including design, simulation, verification and debugging
Working knowledge of C and experience interfacing with microcontrollers
Exposure to board‑level design (schematics, PCB layout, bring‑up) is a strong advantage
Comfortable operating with technical autonomy and contributing to architectural and design decisions
Strong passion for technology and engineering excellence xphnsxz i
Clear communicator with a collaborative, team‑oriented mindset
Ability to work across disciplines and contribute to a high‑performing engineering culture
Languages
Good working knowledge of English or French
