What we are looking for We are looking for a Trainee Consultant to work with and complement our Healthcare practice. You need to be proactive, solution-driven, with excellent attention to detail.
The role includes daily monitoring of various issues (legislative and non-legislative), conducting research, drafting newsletters and policy briefings, helping to organise trainings and workshops, and providing overall support to more senior staff members.
Responsibilities
Daily monitoring of legislative and non-legislative issues relevant to health policy
Conducting research and drafting newsletters and policy briefings
Assisting in organising trainings and workshops
Providing overall support to more senior staff members
Qualifications
EU national or work permit holder, as the traineeship is in Brussels, Belgium
Previous traineeship in the health and/or pharmaceutical sectors (candidates without experience in these sectors will not be considered)
Perfect command of English; additional language skills are an asset (ideally German or French)
Advanced research and writing skills, including the ability to summarise issues quickly and accurately
Ability to work in a team while also carrying out own tasks independently and meeting deadlines
Flexibility, enthusiasm, and ability to work under tight deadlines in an international environment
Proficiency with IT and new media tools
Previous experience/traineeship in one of the European Institutions – especially in DG SANTE or working for MEPs in the Parliament’s ENVI Committee
Good, demonstrated command of social media – experience in organising social media campaigns
Previous experience in organizations working on Global and Public Health (WHO, GAVI, Global Fund, World Bank, OECD, etc.)
