Context: Multi-camera systems are increasingly central to research and industrial applications, enabling advanced motion capture, 3D reconstruction, and real-time scene analysis. For AI-based perception tasks, reliable camera setups provide the foundation for robust data collection and processing. At Multitel, establishing a scalable and well-calibrated multi-camera environment is a key step toward supporting projects in computer vision, pose estimation, and immersive technologies. The objective of this internship is to design, implement and validate a camera-based acquisition pipeline. The intern will explore camera specifications, perform experimental setups, and contribute to software modules for data acquisition and calibration. The intern will contribute to this effort by focusing on the following tasks: Unboxing, installation, and hands-on familiarization with pre-selected camera and hardware devices; Developing a working software synchronization system: synchronization of multiple cameras using PTP protocol; Developing a software UI: acquisition of frames from multiple cameras, calibration (live point cloud), and streaming; Experimenting with triangulation and scalability of the setup (if time allows it); Documenting the pipeline and compiling findings into a comprehensive report; Presenting results and system demonstrations to the Multitel AI group. Expected qualifications: Strong proficiency in Python or C++, solid mathematical and algorithmic skills, ability to work independently with motivation. Previous experience in computer vision, real-time systems or software design patterns is a plus. Fluency in English is recommended. An internship of 4-6 months duration (from February to end of July) CV and cover letter requested You will work in a dynamic and welcoming environment. You’ll be part of a friendly and energetic team. We offer a stimulating and supportive work environment. Recognized as a center of excellence at the international level, Multitel develops and integrates emerging technologies in the industrial sector. These technologies are focused on five main areas of activity: Networks and Cybersecurity, Applied Photonics, Artificial Intelligence, Embedded Systems, and Railway Certification Within the Artificial Intelligence department, the AI team holds a crucial role in supporting companies with their technological innovation projects, guiding them from the feasibility phase to the minimum viable product in various application fields such as aerospace, automotive, Smart Cities, Industry 4.0, medical sciences, defense, and more.
