Overview
Consultant en Sol/Sustainable Land Management at Arcadis. Arcadis is the global leader for sustainable design, engineering and advisory solutions for natural and built assets. The role focuses on soil contamination studies, ground water remediation, site rehabilitation and project coordination in Belgium’s major industrial projects.
Responsibilities
* Participate in the develops of study on soil pollution and/or ground water sanitation and remediation.
* Develop studies on contaminated site sanitation (orientation and characterization studies, remediation plans).
* Participate in industrial site rehabilitation and deconstruction.
* Coordinate projects and verify the proper execution of field work.
* Support the “Due Diligence” team.
* Participate in “Policy Studies”.
* Co‑ordinate juniors in project management.
Qualifications
* Enthusiastic, commercial sens and client‑orientated.
* Minimum 5 years of technical experience in contaminated soil at the level of design, coordination and remediation.
* University scientific degree (geology, chemistry, environment, biology, etc.) or engineering degree.
* Knowledge of Walloon legislation; Brussels legislation knowledge is an advantage.
* Strong written and organisational skills, analytical mindset, solution oriented.
* Ability to express and write in English; Dutch knowledge is an advantage.
* Proficiency with MS Office.
* Willingness to travel (permit B) among Charleroi, Liège, Brussels offices.
