PURPOSE OF THE JOB
- Developing design solutions (aka installations) within the DMU
- Playing a key role in their complete life cycle, from specification to production support and industrial validation, in a collaborative work environment

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Performance Measurement/KPI’s
- Respect of committed lead time
Responsibilities
Accountable for:
- Delivering design solutions (aka installations) including:
-- Designing and pre-dimensioning design solutions (aka installations) main parts interfaces
-- Designing design solutions (aka installations) main parts (if decision of design make)
-- Checking and integrating design solutions (aka installations) main 3D parts (if part design is purshased)
-- Producing associated drawings and integrating meta data
-- Checking other CAD work in peer review, or work produced by another site on the design solution (aka installation) on relevant scope
- Performing stack up analysis intenal to the design solution (aka installation) (when required)
- Considering RoE and implementing problem solving methodologies on relevant scope
Responsible for
- Performing and maintaining SAM (Space Allocation Model) in accordance with progressive maturity rules considering all constraints
- Creating annotated SAM for exchanges with suppliers
- Checking compliancy of suppliers feedback with relevant SAM
- Producing and communicating weight information
- Instructing Engineering change requests and executing Engineering change in relevant scope
- Reporting on progress and status
Contributes to
- Concurrent engineering with indus, internal and external suppliers
- Train, car, zone levels stack up calculations
- Production support (back-office and shop floor)
- First Mounting Review
- Identification of mock up necessary for work verification
