Weichai Group is the biggest engine manufacturer in China, just established new company WEICHAI BRAZIL LTDA, which is looking for an excellent Marketing Specialist who is in charge of exhibition marketing, media relations, channel management, and corporate events. The business scope includes the G-Drive engine, P-Drive engine, power generation, marine engine, vehicle (trucks & bus) and machinery equipment business in Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Peru, and Argentina to meet our customer acquisition and revenue growth targets by keeping our company competitive and innovative.
About the Role
The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for planning and executing marketing strategies, managing exhibitions, and enhancing media relations to support the company's growth in the Latin American market.
Responsibilities
* Plan and execute domestic and international exhibitions (including exhibition selection, registration, and budget control), as well as booth design and brand presentation (booths, materials, and promotional content).
* Coordinate with organizers and suppliers (booth construction, logistics), and manage on-site event arrangements (product displays, customer reception processes).
* Collect potential customer leads from exhibitions and perform follow-up tracking; analyze exhibition effectiveness (number of clients, conversion rate, and ROI).
* Plan online and offline brand exposure strategies; manage social media platforms and content distribution (such as LinkedIn, official website, etc.).
* Write press releases, company introductions, and promotional materials; plan media placement (advertising, PR exposure) and monitor exposure effectiveness (traffic, impressions, conversions).
* Plan exclusive company events (forums, business matching, product launches), handling venue negotiations, key guest invitations (clients, partners, government officials), and agenda design.
* Oversee on-site event execution (registration, reception, and agenda control) and post-event follow-up to facilitate lead conversion and relationship maintenance.
* Complete other related tasks assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or higher in Marketing, Business Administration, International Trade, or a related field.
Required Skills
* Minimum of 3 years of corporate marketing, exhibition planning, media PR, or brand operations experience; familiar with the full cycle of marketing campaign operations.
* Proficient in English listening, speaking, reading, and writing, capable of using English as a working language; proficiency in Portuguese (Brazilian) or Chinese is highly preferred.
* Familiar with the Brazilian local market environment, media channels, PR practices, and relevant local regulations.
* Experience with CRM systems is preferred; prior marketing experience in manufacturing or trading industries is a strong advantage.
* Meticulous, strong ability to work under pressure, and excellent cross-cultural communication, negotiation, and teamwork skills.
* Good planning, multitasking, and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills
* Experience in managing large-scale events and exhibitions.
* Strong analytical skills to assess marketing effectiveness.
