As a GL Accountant, you will join a dynamic and international finance team in Mechelen. This role offers a comprehensive view of the entire accounting cycle and provides opportunities to expand your expertise by gaining insight into our international processes. Your key responsibilities as General Ledger Accountant:
* Managing the balance sheet and profit & loss statements
* Accounts consolidation and reconciliation
* Supporting accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
* Preparing VAT and corporate income tax declarations, financial statements, and statistical reports for 10 EU countries
* Providing monthly reports and analyses for other departments
Ideal profile of the General Ledger Accountant:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in GL or General Accounting
* Excellent communication skills in English
* Knowledge of accounting standards such as Belgian GAAP or US GAAP
* Analytical mindset with a strong sense of ownership and independence
* Proficient in Excel
* Experience with SAP is a plus
