Our systems combine advanced spray technology with integrated mechanical constructions to ensure precise application and optimal performance.Role Overview:We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to strengthen our design team and address growing demand for customized mechanical integrations. This role focuses on designing mechanical spray headers and nozzle integration solutions for customer production lines, ensuring functionality, safety, and cost-effectiveness but will also help with other mechanical design tasks for other aspects of our product portfolio.Your Skills and Qualifications: Design & Development Create mechanical designs for spray nozzle and spray header integrations into customer production lines (primarily conveyor-based systems). Develop concepts that ensure proper performance, ease of maintenance, and compliance with CE safety regulations. Incorporate features such as enclosures, automatic height adjustments, overspray collection, and removable spray headers for maintenance. Produce detailed mechanical drawings for manufacturing and assembly. Customization & Standardization Deliver tailored solutions for complex customer requirements while working toward standardization of designs to reduce cost and lead time. Collaboration Work closely with existing mechanical design engineers and AutoJet application engineers to develop complete system proposals. Support the mechanical design team with other mechanical design tasks for other products. The mechanical design work load will be distributed over the team depending on availability, knowledge and experience. On-Site Assessment Visit customer facilities to analyze production environments and ensure seamless integration of mechanical solutions. Procurement & Documentation Identify and select vendors and components required for mechanical constructions. Prepare and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) and enter it into the ERP system upon order confirmation. Cost Estimation and quotation/proposal generation Assist in estimating costs for mechanical integration solutions as part of customer proposals. Help in making quotation/proposal with our internal quotation tool for the mechanical part of the customer offering. Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 35 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in machine building or industrial equipment integration. Technical Skills Proficiency in CAD software (, AutoDesk Inventor, SolidWorks, AutoCAD). Experience with iLogic in AutoDesk Inventor, particularly for automating drawings, is an advantage. Ability to perform mechanical strength calculationssuch as preventing bending in header constructionsis an advantage. Strong understanding of mechanical systems, safety standards (CE compliance), and manufacturing processes. Experience with BOM creation and ERP systems. Soft Skills Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively with customers. Other Requirements Willingness to travel for on-site assessments. Knowledge of cost estimation and design for manufacturability.
