We're Bolt Blaster Games, creators of GAZZLERS and The Spell Brigade, an indie game studio on a mission to unleash amazing games on the world. What We're Looking For
We're looking for a Game Designer who lives and breathes game development. You’ll not only design engaging gameplay systems and levels, but you’ll also help shape the overall player experience from concept to final polish. You’ll collaborate closely with programmers, artists, and QA to shape fun, polished, and immersive experiences from concept to final release.
Your Mission
* Conceptualize, prototype, and refine mechanics, levels, progression, and balance.
* Use player feedback, KPIs, and A/B testing to improve designs and gameplay.
* Create and maintain Game Design Documents (GDDs) and related documentation.
* Collaborate with artists, programmers, and QA to ensure designs are implementable and polished.
Job Requirements
* Proven experience with Game Design, with at least one completed project in their portfolio.
* Strong understanding of gameplay systems, level design, player progression, and balance.
* Ability to iterate quickly and work with both data-driven insights and creative feedback.
* Strong collaboration and communication skills across disciplines.
* The ability to thrive both working independently and as part of a collaborative team
Bonus Points If You Have… (a.k.a. not required, but definitely awesome)
* Experience with Programming in Unity.
* Experience with analytics and analyzing player behavior.
