For a leading global pharmaceutical company, we are looking for an experienced Strategic Procurement Consultant. In this role, you will focus on optimizing procurement processes and managing supplier relationships across engineering, production, packaging, construction, and capital service activities.

You will work closely with the Global Category Strategy Manager (CSM) to develop and implement category strategies with impact across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
* Strategically optimize procurement processes and supplier management
* Source new suppliers and negotiate contractual terms
* Maintain and strengthen supplier relationships to maximize value and reduce risk
* Review and manage procurement schedules
* Conduct bid analyses and process purchase orders
* Resolve invoice-related queries
* Prepare and deliver reports on purchasing activities to project teams
* Identify efficiency improvements and eliminate wasteful processes
* Drive cost savings through competitive bidding and market analysis
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to streamline procurement workflows
* Lead team coordination: prepare agendas, consolidate data, follow up on actions
* Develop reporting tools and dashboards (e.g., Power BI)
* Provide ad hoc support, including RFP processes
* Operate flexibly in a fast-paced environment (tight deadlines may apply)
Your Profile
* Bachelor’s Or Master degree (or equivalent) in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field
* Proven experience in procurement/buying (preferably in pharma or life sciences)
Strong experience with:
* Procurement AI and LLMs (e.g., Copilot, Claude, Gemini)
* Advanced AI prompting for market intelligence and benchmarking
* Strategic mindset combined with a pragmatic, hands-on approach
* Excellent PowerPoint skills (C-level presentations)
* Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP)
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
* Ability xphnsxz to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
* Understanding of pharmaceutical regulations and compliance is a plus
* Fluent in English and Dutch
