Our client, Holcim Roofing, is seeking a Commercial Director to lead their commercial operations across multiple European markets. This is a senior leadership role with full strategic ownership and direct reporting to the CEO — focused on shaping and executing the commercial strategy, not day-to-day operations. The role is designed for a leader who thrives on autonomy, wants to build and develop a high-performing team, and has the ambition to grow their remit over time.
The Commercial Director will be accountable for:
- Defining and executing a margin and revenue growth strategy
- Full P&L ownership for the commercial organization
- Building and leading a team of senior commercial professionals across the region
- Strengthening relationships with key distributors, contractors, and building owners
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy & Commercial Leadership
- Develop and implement a commercial strategy that delivers sustainable growth across European markets
- Own the P&L — accountable for achieving sales and margin results that outpace industry performance
- Maintain a laser focus on Key and Strategic Accounts, identifying new opportunities based on customer insights and market trends
- Collaborate with Marketing, Finance, and other business units to ensure commercial alignment
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of senior commercial professionals
- Build a robust people strategy to drive organizational capability and develop future leadership bench
- Inspire a high-performance culture with a focus on accountability and results

REQUIREMENTS
Experience
- 10+ years of commercial or sales leadership experience
- Proven track record of leading teams and driving business results across multiple markets
- Experience in roofing, waterproofing, construction chemicals, or building materials wholesale is highly preferred

- Fluent in English; French, Dutch, or German are strong assets
