Objective
This professional will support the growth of the global Niobium market within the automotive steels segment, engaging with steel makers and their OEM customers to develop and optimize automotive Nb-bearing steel grades.
Reference Professionals
A professional with deep metallurgical understanding of Nb-technology in automotive steels and business acumen to drive market growth. Must be able to lead complex technical projects, provide support to customers, and collaborate across internal teams. Requires clear understanding of the automotive industry dynamics and will travel 50-60% of the time domestically and internationally.
Team Work
Works within the Technical Market Development department, coordinating with segment leaders, subsidiary managers, technical experts, market intelligence, strategy, commercial, PMO, and other functions to support market development activities.
Activities
The professional will manage technical initiatives sustaining market expansion, including R&D projects, technical support at steel plants, industrial trials, simulation validation, conference presentations, tech-days organization, and converting these initiatives into actionable sales of Nb products globally.
Knowledge
Deep metallurgical expertise of automotive steels (cold and hot rolled) and Nb technology application, along with comprehensive knowledge of global automotive steel market players and their business drivers.
Technical Communication
Participation in meetings, conferences, and technical presentations to customers and value chain players, providing necessary information on niobium.
Requirements and Qualifications
* Technical background in metallurgy, materials, or related areas.
* Minimum master's degree, doctorate preferred.
* At least 10 years of relevant experience, either as a global expert or regional specialist.
