Scope of the job:

As an HRIS Officer at Galapagos, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient functioning of our HR Information Systems (HRIS). You will serve as the primary point of contact for all HRIS-related matters, providing exceptional support to employees, internal stakeholders, and our external system implementor

Next to that you will have the support from and report directly to our HRIS & People Analytics Partner who is driving the strategic projects related to our HRIS landscape.

Your role

HRIS Support:

You will be the first line of support for all HRIS requests, utilizing your expertise in HR processes and systems to offer high-quality solutions.

This includes providing on-the-job training to improve your HR and system knowledge and the ability to provide tailored solutions to meet employee needs.

Technical Expertise:

Act as a bridge between internal HRIS knowledge and external system implementations, ensuring effective problem-solving and system improvements.

Collaborate with external partners to enhance the functionality of our HRIS.

Critical Thinking:

Identify and address structural issues within our HRIS, actively participating in the development of long-term, strategic solutions.

Work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize the HRIS platform.

Support for Strategic HRIS Projects:

Contribute to the development and execution of strategic HRIS projects aimed at enhancing HR operations and improving the employee experience.

Provide operational oversight for system improvements and access management.

Stakeholder Management:

Collaborate closely with HR teams, finance, IT, and other internal and external partners, understanding their needs and ensuring the seamless integration of HRIS into their operations.

Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive HRIS success.

Organizational Skills:

Bring structure to day-to-day operations by maintaining clear and concise documentation and reporting.

1. Be able to translate your day-to-day business into concise and structural overviews for the Data & HRIS Partner.
