What you’ll do
?
As a Solution Advisor (SA) you work as a Data & AI specialist with the sales teams and customer success managers during the entire Customer Value Journey (Discovery-Select-Adopt & Consume- Extend). You will provide strategic guidance and subject-matter expertise in the design and solutioning of SAP’s data management, data governance and AI solutions.
In the Discovery phase you will support mainly clients exploring potential Data & AI solutions (eg. SAP Business Data Cloud) and help sales teams build pipeline performing key activities such as:
1. Contributing to Account or Territory Pipeline Planning
2. Supporting One-to-Few Events & One-to-Many events by delivering customer-facing presentations, digital assets and demos about SAP’s Data & AI portfolio.
3. Performing Account-Specific Discovery using customer interviews, workshops and vigorous dry-runs
4. Contributing to successful Opportunity Qualification
During the Select phase you will support clients building their data & AI strategy vision using key activities such as:
5. Defining and driving long-term roadmaps for full business transformation, including value definition and delivery.
6. Ensuring the selected Data & AI solutions address customer pain points and support their strategic vision.
7. Facilitating a smooth transition to the implementation and adoption phases.
While your primary focus remains on driving new cloud license sales, 50 % will be allocated to post-sales support activities within the Adopt & Consume phase of the Customer Value Journey. Key Activities in this phase can be:
8. Post-Sales Transition: Facilitating knowledge transfer between sales and implementation/onboarding teams, ensuring continuity and alignment with customer goals. This includes internal meetings to share key information like sales assets, customer objectives, and contact details.
9. Solution Clarification Demos and Presentations: Re-engaging customers to reinforce the value and functionality of purchased SAP Data & AI solutions, addressing the needs of new stakeholders, clarifying the impact of de-scoping decisions, and addressing potential "shelfware" situations.
During the Extend phase you will focus on prioritizing innovation and growth within existing customer accounts. You will handle key activities such as:
10. Upsell/Cross-sell Identification: you act as a consultant to the sales team, drawing on your knowledge of the account to pinpoint upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
11. Solution Expertise: you re-engage with customers, delivering solution overviews and demonstrations, drawing upon previous sales engagement experiences with the client.
What you’ll bring?
Required:
12. 5+ years of professional work experience with large software/IT organizations, preferably in a solution and/or architecture advisory role
13. 3+ years of relevant SAP BTP and/or Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) experience in a customer-facing role, with a specific focus on cloud data warehousing solutions
14. Expertise with Business Data Cloud (BDC) and related components (Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, Databricks, Snowflake)
15. Functional knowledge of S/4HANA applications and/or optimization of business processes that leverage SAP BDC is desired
16. Strong understanding of modern data architecture industry trends and proven ability to present to all levels in a customer’s organization
17. Strong understanding of modern data architecture industry leaders and competitive differentiators
18. Inspiring storyteller
Preferred:
19. Proficient in Databricks &/or Snowflake technologies
20. Proficient in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
21. Proficiency with AI and machine learning frameworks and libraries
22. Passion and energy in all customer interactions
23. Ability to drive opportunities in collaboration with Account Executive, Sales Specialists, Customer Success Managers and Partner Business Managers

26. You will be part of the Customer Advisory team consisting of Solution, Value and Architecture Advisors
27. You will be based in SAP Belux office but might need to travel to Netherlands office as we are a Benelux Market Unit
