Your role and your career opportunities
As a Google Cloud Data Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing Big Data solutions and architectures, leveraging modern technologies and open‑source frameworks in a cloud environment. Your ability to design and build scalable systems will be essential to ensure the performance and reliability of data applications.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Your profile
* Minimum 2 years of experience designing, building, and delivering Big Data solutions and applications using GCP data and analytics services and open‑source frameworks (Spark, Hive, Dataproc, Dataflow / Apache Beam, Bigtable, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Composer / Apache Airflow, dbt, Dataform)
* Minimum 1 year of experience designing and building cloud‑native data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform
* Minimum 1 year of experience managing Google Cloud platforms and defining transition paths from legacy systems
* Minimum 2 years of experience with Python and/or Java, SQL, and Linux shell
* Strong problem‑solving mindset and consulting communication skills
Nice to have
* Experience with data migration from legacy systems (Hadoop, Teradata, Netezza)
* Google Cloud Professional Certification (Data Engineer preferred)
* STEM degree
